As someone who is passionate about women’s self-defense and firearms, I believe it is crucial for us to understand and uphold our right to protect ourselves. In today’s world, it is more important than ever for us to be prepared and confident in our ability to defend ourselves in any situation.

One real-life example of a woman who effectively used self-defense to protect herself is Amanda Collins. In 2007, Amanda was a college student at the University of Nevada, Reno when she was attacked and raped at gunpoint on campus. Amanda had a valid concealed carry permit, but was not allowed to carry her firearm on campus due to university regulations. If she had been able to carry her firearm that day, she believes that the outcome may have been different. This tragic event serves as a reminder of the importance of being prepared and empowered to defend ourselves.

In addition to understanding the laws, it is also important to equip yourself with the necessary tools and skills to defend yourself effectively. Taking self-defense classes, such as Krav Maga or Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, can give you the confidence and skills needed to protect yourself in a dangerous situation.
